Poland Spring™ Marathon Kickoff Race
On the Sunday prior to the ING New York City Marathon, this race travels the roads of Central Park covering part of the Marathon course including the same finish line. The 5-mile race is open to all runners, not just Marathoners. In addition to plenty of Poland Spring® Brand Natural Spring Water to keep runners hydrated, everyone who completes the race receives a Poland Spring Souvenir and t-shirt.
Boston Marathon and B.A.A. Half Marathon
Concerned about what happens to water bottles after a marathon? We are too. We are a recycling partner of the Boston Marathon and B.A.A. Half Marathon. In 2008, our first year of sponsoring these events, we recycled about 4,260 plastic bottles. Join us. Please recycle.
Beach to Beacon
Joan Benoit Samuelson, Cape Elizabeth native and winner of the first ever women's Olympic marathon in 1984 had a vision of a premiere road race on the beautiful coastline she was so fond of as a youth. This vision came to fruition in 1998 with the first running of the Beach to Beacon 10K. Now Beach to Beacon is the largest road race in Maine. Runners from around the world have placed this event on their calendar for its views as well as its opportunity for victory. Since 2000, Poland Spring® Brand Natural Spring Water has proudly supported this event and has hydrated runners with over 25,000 bottles of water each year.
Falmouth Road Race
Since 1973, the Falmouth Road Race has been strongly supported by Poland Spring® Brand Natural Spring Water. The highly competitive road race and fun-run, which has been named “Best USA Road Race” by Runners World Magazine, runs from Woods Hole, Mass., along the waterfront to Falmouth Heights, Mass., and has grown to be a New England and world-wide road race icon. The 2006 running will mark Poland Spring's 31st year as a sponsor. The race is seven miles long and offers one of the nation's largest non-marathon prize purses. Among the 10,000 participants last year was 2004 Olympic Marathon Bronze medalist Deena Kastor of Mammoth Lakes, Calif. Each year, Poland Spring provides over 35,000 bottles of water for this event.
