Committed to our Maine
community
With roots dating back more than 170 years, we’re committed to helping make Maine a great place to live and work through sponsorships, donations and volunteer efforts. This state is our home and we want nothing more than to make a positive impact whenever we can.

Calling 207
207 is more than an area code. It’s a symbol of Maine’s can-do, fix-‘er-up attitude. We traveled throughout Maine in our hydration station spreading the word about our Calling 207 initiative and asking where we could do the most good. And, boy, did you answer our call! In 11 weeks, we received some great 207Act submissions and thousands of votes. Thank you to everyone who submitted a 207Act, voted, or just stopped by to say hello.
THE NEXT GENERATION
OF STEWARDS
We work hard to monitor and care for our spring sources and surrounding environments in Maine. We believe it’s equally important to help the next generation appreciate and learn about our state’s natural resources as well. For over a decade, we’ve partnered with the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) to bring fifth and sixth graders from across the state to GMRI’s lab in Portland, free of charge, for a half-day immersion in water science.
GOOD NEIGHBOR GRANT PROGRAM
In 2018, we are proud to partner with Maine the Way magazine to recognize local business, communities and individuals that help fellow Mainers reconnect with their communities.
Since 2000, we've given more than $7 million to local Maine community organizations, causes and events through this grant program. Grants are awarded to community groups with a focus on education, environmental conservation and other local causes to help improve the future of Maine.
WATER DONATION
PROGRAM
If there's one thing we really know, it’s water. So we support our Maine community the best way we can, whenever we can. We donate water to local events and community groups, with a focus on supporting local schools and fire and rescue teams. In fact, in 2016, communities received nearly 800,000 donated bottles of Poland Spring® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Environmental education is incredibly important in the awareness and continuity of Maine’s natural resources. To this end, Poland Spring® Brand has made an investment in environmental education throughout Maine by partnering with Project WET, The Ecology School, Gulf of Maine Research Institute and through our own Trout in the Classroom/Brookie Buddies curriculum. More than 100,000 students have participated in education programs through our support.
