Mahoosuc Land Trust
Partnering to help protect Maine’s public water supplies locally
Mahoosuc Land Trust is a non-profit based in Bethel, Maine which shares our mission for the conservation of Maine watersheds. To date they have conserved 25,000 acres of diverse habitats through their publicly accessible preserves and conservation easements in western Maine and northern New Hampshire. Some of these lands include parts of the Rumford Whitecap Mountain which feed into the Ellis River watershed.
This watershed is special to Poland Spring as well, with the Ellis Spring site being one of our 10 unique springs in Maine where we source our water. Since 2018, Poland Spring has worked hard to preserve approximately 600 acres of watershed in Rumford for the Ellis Spring site. This land we share in Rumford is not only beloved for its water, but also for its prized recreation and rare natural ecological communities.

Proud To Call Maine Home
Poland Spring water comes from some of the most beautiful places in the state of Maine, and we’re dedicated to helping keep those landscapes healthy and thriving.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with 1% for the Planet-to help support local conservation efforts, helping to protect habitats, and stay connected with the communities that make Maine so special. It’s all part of our commitment to doing good and making sustainability a natural part of who we are.
